The Story Behind the Cup
This December, we’re proud to present a special microlot from Finca Pampojilá, a historic farm located in the volcanic highlands of San Lucas Tolimán, within Guatemala’s Atitlán region. Founded in the 1850s and now revitalised by Agropecuaria Atitlán, the farm has embraced sustainability and innovation while preserving over half its land as protected tropical forest.
This washed-process microlot, grown at 1550 MASL, features the Anacafe 14 varietal, a naturally occurring hybrid of Pacamara and Catimor. The coffee is carefully fermented and dried to highlight clarity and complexity. The result is a vibrant, structured coffee with notes of jammy orange, bright grapefruit, caramel, and dark cocoa nibs, lifted by a juicy acidity and finishing clean. Whether enjoyed as a filter or festive espresso, it’s the perfect companion for relaxed summer celebrations.
