A Festive Brew Worth Celebrating
Â
Christmas at Yahava means one thing: a once-a-year blend built from exceptional origins. For 2025, we’ve sourced three coffees with distinct character, each shaped by its landscape, its people, and its traditions, then roasted and blended to deliver a cup that feels unmistakably festive.
Â
Ethiopia – West Arsi, Riripa
The backbone of this year’s blend comes from the high, rugged mountains of West Arsi in Ethiopia’s Oromia region. Coffee here grows above 1,900 MASL in fertile sandy loam, surrounded by dense forest and dramatic terrain. Around 450 smallholders deliver their cherries to the Riripa washing station by horse and donkey, continuing generations-old practices. The coffee is traditionally sundried as whole cherries on raised beds, allowing the fruit to ferment slowly in the cool mountain climate. This natural process provides the richness and luxury that define this year’s blend.
Â
Mexico – Chiapas High Grown Organic
From the southern highlands of Chiapas comes an organically grown coffee cultivated under natural shade canopies. These farms sit between 200–1200 MASL, where cooler nights slow the maturation of the cherries and build complexity. Producers rely on fully washed processing, clean mountain water and controlled drying to keep the cup profile crisp and honest. The Mexican component anchors the blend, adding structure and a clean, rounded base.
Â
Colombia – Supremo from Cundinamarca
Colombia’s Cundinamarca region adds brightness and lift. At 1,300–1,700 MASL, coffee is grown along steep Andean slopes where cool mornings and volcanic soils create ideal conditions for high-scoring Arabica. Fully washed Typica, Colombia and Caturra varietals are processed with high precision, producing a cup known for clarity and vibrant acidity.
Â
Together, these three coffees create a blend that opens with ripe cherry, rolls into lively banana, and melts into a smooth, buttery finish. Roasted once a year. Enjoyed by only a limited few.
